Datel Sheds Many Tears; Awaits Outcome of Xbox Update

Datel is a bit disappointed with the recent announcement that the next Xbox Update will be locking out some “unauthorized” memory units.

Datel has been around for quite some time, manufacturing cheaper memory solutions for budget-minded gamers for as long as I can remember. It will be a shame to see them possibly being pulled out of the Microsoft market like a thorn in its side. At least that’s most likely how Microsoft sees it. They probably see Datel and other 3rd party manufacturers as thieves of their own potential profits in regards to memory units, controllers, etc.

Who knows if this is just the beginning of 3rd party hardware lockouts…we shall see.
