Batman: Arkham Asylum for the Xbox 360 takes the player on a twisted journey, as Batman of course, through Gotham’s most notorious “facility” for the criminally insane.
There have been so many super hero games made throughout the ages; almost none of them succeed in properly capturing and portraying the look, feel, sound, visuals or atmosphere of the original creation. Can I get an amen from the crowd? Am I right?
Well I’m honestly glad to say that the mediocrity ends here. Batman: Arkham Asylum is a fantastic game that uses the original cast’s voices to propel this title into the “triple-A” realm of videogames, previously a realm reserved for usually non-DC or Marvel games.
The problem with a lot of these hero games is that they’re only released as cash-ins near the release of a related summer blockbuster film, such as Iron Man or Spider-Man. Not so with Arkham Asylum.
With a unique and interesting storyline, a whole plethora of familiar characters, a well-crafted Batman model, nicely-formulated combat design and use of gadgets, and perfect environmental navigation, Batman: Arkham Asylum excels in delivering this summer’s premiere super hero experience that you don’t want to miss.

According to IGN, the game looks better on Xbox 360.

There’s tradeoffs between the two. 360 has better Occlusion mapping, and the PS3 has better shadowing on characters.
360 has a zoomed-in view while walking around with batman; PS3 has a view that is backed out a little bit, allowing you to take in more of the environment around Batman.
In other words, don’t trust IGN for graphical analysis, because it’s done sooner and better by many other sites.
