There have been rumors circulating around the ‘net about the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter being bundled with the Xbox 360 Elite to raise the overall value of Microsoft’s premium console. Sadly this is not the case.
The Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter runs at a suggested retail price of $99.99. Adding an additional $99 value to the Xbox Elite, along with a price drop would be a one, two punch.
However after checking out the new official packaging of the Xbox 360 Elite, the Wireless Adapter is listed under the “Sold Separately” section on the side of the Elite’s box along side the Wireless Headset, Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Membership, and Wireless Controller.
So it looks like if you want to have a wireless connection with your Xbox 360, you are going to have to purchase the Wireless Adapter after all.
